Altered Beast Wiki

This page refers to the series numbers names of the Beasts and Enemies which can be seen in the Beast Data and Enemy Data menus from Project Altered Beast. Most of them have meaning, and are explained below.

Formatting[]

They all follow a similar format for the most part:

Initials[]

The Forms created for the Genome Cyborgs have their initials as part of the Beast's series number name. "LC311" (Luke Custer's Werewolf) being an example. All of the other Forms Luke acquires also have the same initials, with the exception of the Weretiger, as it originally belonged to Brad.

The Weretiger's series number is "RB111t", with the 'R' in the start being an outlier, as Brad's second (or first) name is unknown. The Chimera's series number on the other hand has Anastasia Ainsworth's initials: "AA250t".

Most standard enemies and bosses who were exposed to the Genome Mist have the 'MB' initials, which stand for Mutated Beast; while some others which were manufactured intentionally have the 'MP' initials. The P's meaning is currently unknown.

Cockatrice-style enemies are simply called "TX4", with the 'TX' series being for Dr. Eric Jobs' other project of recreating ancient beasts. Although it is unclear what the 'X' stands for, the 'T' likely stands to "test", as the first experiment, Flauros, is "T100".

Numbers[]

The numbers can be divided into several sections.

1st Number[]

The first number seems to be related to different groups, usually being different test subjects, and the order they were experimented on / first became a Genome Cyborg; with Flauros and Brad being the first (T100 / RB111t), Ana being the second (AA250t), and Luke being the third (LC311). Mutated Beasts have the number 10, while MP's have the number 5.

2nd Number[]

The second number is related to the type. They are below:

3rd Number[]

The third number is just the numbering of the different species within its series. Such as each of the bosses having the order they were fought as their third number.

Lowercase Letter[]

While not present in all of the series numbers, some of them have a lowercase letter(s) at the end, which in the case of Mutated Beasts, usually determines their animal classification. Some Genome Cyborg Beasts and MPs have a 't' letter, which likely stands for "test", and isn't an animal class. The Unique ones also seem mostly unrelated.

Below is a list of all of the categories of the Mutated Beasts:

  • h - human or humanoid (Living Corpse, Bloated Corpse, Amphibian, Berserker, Ogre, and Aeshma)
  • m - mammal (Giant Rat, Wild Boar, Mole, Bat, and Leviathan)
  • c - anthropod[?] (Centipede, and Crayfish)

A small amount of enemies have some kind of element or color as the final part of their name, an example being "TX4/Fe" (Valkyrie) having the iron element (Fe).
